  1. Does World Harvest Bible College offer any degrees?
    Yes!  We offer 5 Associate of Arts degrees in the following: Pastoral Leadership, Evangelism, Missions, Interdisciplinary Studies, and Music Ministry.

  2. Is WHBC an accredited college?
    World Harvest Bible College is professionally accredited through the Association of Independent Colleges and Seminaries. Our degrees are certified by the Ohio State Board of Career Colleges and Proprietary Schools. At present WHBC is not regionally accredited.

  3. Do WHBC credits transfer to other schools?
    The determination rests with the receiving institution.  Even for state universities the receiving college determines which courses they will transfer or not transfer.  WHBC has an articulation agreement with Ohio Christian University (OCU).  Up to 60 semester credit hours will transfer from WHBC to an OCU Bachelor of Arts program.  If you are interested in transferring your credits from WHBC to any other college or university you would need to personally contact each separately.

  4. What are the code numbers for the ACT and SAT test scores?
    The WHBC school code for the ACT is 4899.
    The WHBC school code for the SAT is 5972.

  5. Does World Harvest Bible College offer any adult degree completion programs?
    We offer an adult degree completion program for adults that have completed at least 22 credit hours and would like to complete their A.A.  For more information see our Academic Catalog.

  6. Does World Harvest Bible College offer any continuing education?
    We offer continuing education for students who are full-time students at other colleges, who are spouses of regularly enrolled students or individuals involved in continuing education taking limited course loads.

  7. What kinds of classes are taught at the Bible College?
    WHBC provides solid biblical and theological based courses, general education courses, and coursework in practical aspects of ministry. A sampling of courses includes: Old and New Testament Literature, Spiritual Authority, Introduction to Evangelism, English Composition, Christian Leadership, Acts, Biblical and Theological Basis of Praise and Worship, Eschatology, College Choir, Music Theory, etc.

  8. What is the range of ages of students enrolled?
    WHBC attracts students from 17 to 65 years of age.  Some students come straight from high school, some have previously been to college, and others have already graduated from previous colleges plus have working experience or graduate degrees when they come to World Harvest Bible College.

  9. How long does each semester last?
    WHBC has sixteen weeks of instruction plus finals. The fall semester begins in August and ends in December, and the spring semester begins in January and ends in May.  Generally a two-year program can be completed in four semesters of full-time study.  The one-year diploma program can be completed in two semesters of full-time study.

  10. Does World Harvest Bible College help students with employment while they are in school?
    At the beginning of the fall semester, WHBC invites various Columbus employers to our annual Job Fair to assist our students and their spouses in securing area employment.  Other opportunities are posted on the Employment Board for the students to review.  Those who are interested in working at World Harvest Church may contact the Human Resource Department at (614) 837-1990.

  11. What are the employment opportunities in the area?
    They are many and varied depending on your qualifications.  The Columbus Dispatch is an excellent resource for employment.  Their phone number is (614) 461-5000, and their website is www.dispatch.com.   12. How can I pay for my tuition and fees?
    Once a student has been formally accepted, they can begin submitting payment(s).  WHBC only accepts cashiers' checks, money orders, cash, American Express, Discover, MasterCard or Visa (debit or credit card).  No personal, ministry or business account checks are accepted.

  13. Does World Harvest Bible College offer scholarships or financial assistance?
    Financial assistance is offered in the form of a Tuition Partnership Grant provided to students who are supported by their church.  If their home church provides $2,000 in tuition, WHBC will provide $1,000 towards the second (consecutive) semester of tuition only.  Contact WHBC for more information on this opportunity. At this time WHBC is not accredited by the federal Government, therefore our students are not eligible to receive federal or state money.  WHBC does not offer scholarships.  WHBC tuition is intentionally kept low to enable as many students as desire to attend the school.

  14. Does WHBC qualify for Veteran’s Educational Benefits?
    Yes.  Contact the Veteran's Coordinator at WHBC at (800) 940-9422, ext 155 for information.

  15. Does World Harvest Bible College offer housing on campus?
    Yes, WHBC has one women’s residence hall named Cunningham Hall and one men’s residence hall named Jude Hall.  Students 25 years of age or younger, without dependents, are required to live in the Residence Halls for their first two semesters unless they live with their parents or relatives.  If space is available in either Residence Hall at the end of Registration, students older than 25 can request permission to live in the Residence Halls.

  16. How are roommates assigned in the Residence Halls?
    Roommates will be assigned upon arrival at WHBC.  If you would like to request to live with a specific person, you may do so on the Roommate Placement Information Form, which you will receive via mail after you have been accepted to WHBC and have paid the minimum required to live in the Residence Halls.

  17. Are any meals available at WHBC?
    The MAC Café serves meals Monday through Friday during lunch times only.  Each meal cost $4.  Students who live in the Residence Halls have access to cooking utensils and microwaves, as well as a commissary with vending machines.

  18. Do you provide housing for students over 23 years old and/or for married couples?
    At this time WHBC does not provide housing for married students or for students over 25 years of age.  However, students over the age of 25 may request permission from the Dean of Students to live in the Residence Halls depending on room availability and we can send relocating information upon request.  Information on local housing is available upon acceptance to WHBC.

  19. What classes can I transfer from another college?
    All classes taken at other regionally accredited colleges or universities will be transferred upon their relevance for the specific program a student enters.  A grade of "C"; or higher is required and a sufficient amount of credit to fulfill our requirements is needed.  The college you attended must send an official transcript to WHBC for consideration.

  20. Can I complete the Diploma of Arts in Religion program in less than two years?
    It is possible to take quick term classes, summer school, and to transfer in credits from other colleges.  However, the student must talk to his or her advisor.

  21. Does World Harvest Bible College offer correspondence courses?
    WHBC firmly believes that students get more out of interacting in a regular classroom setting.  However, it operates the External Studies Program (ESP) for those who would like to learn more about the Bible but cannot relocate to Columbus, Ohio.  The External Studies Program is not for college credit.  However those who successfully complete the eight courses have the option of their credits transferring to WHBC's two-year General Bible Diploma concentration, allowing them to become a second year student on WHBC's Columbus Campus.

  22. Does World Harvest Bible College offer summer classes?
    Summer classes are offered during the times listed on our Academic Calendar when available.  We also have a Summer Internship Program for current students who make application for this program.  

  23. Are there any athletic opportunities at World Harvest Bible College?
    WHBC offers Men and Women’s College Basketball, and Men’s Soccer teams. We are excited to have dual membership with the Ohio Collegiate Athletic Conference (OCAC) and the United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA). This enables athletes to compete on a very competitive playing field and have an opportunity to win both conference and national championships. Check out the WHBC Athletic webpage.

    Also, intramural sports are available at WHBC, including basketball (for both men and women), soccer, and volleyball, as well as open gym and weight room twice per week, as available.
